MOPS (Mums of Pre-Schoolers) is a unique programme for mothers and their pre-school children, open to mums of all faiths or none. Each week mums listen to guest speakers and are taught new crafts, whilst children play (looked after by registered crèche & playgroup helpers). There are homemade cakes and we have a diverse range of speakers, covering many different issues including child rearing, womanhood and family relationships. Our craft time is not too challenging but generates some impressive results, no matter how unskilled you might think you are!
MOPS meets fortnightly at Duke Street Church on a Friday at 9.45am for a 10am start, aiming to finish by 11.30am. Click here if you have any questions or would like more info.
MumsNext welcomes ALL mums with school-age kids, preschoolers or babies. We meet on the third Monday of most months (not April or August) for a fun and friendly evening together, to make friends and encourage each other, do a small craft, hear a speaker and have a group discussion. We are currently meeting in the upstairs function room at the Cricketers Pub on Richmond Green, 8-10pm. For our December meeting we will have a Christmas meal together at Duke Street Church. New-comers are always very welcome!
