Mothers of Preschoolers (MOPS)

MOPS is a unique programme for all mums with babies and preschoolers. At Duke Street we have a second group called MumsNext for mothers with older children. MOPS mums are very welcome to join us at MumsNext too. MOPS groups connect mums all over the world to a community of women, in their own neighborhoods, who meet together to laugh, cry and embrace the journey of motherhood.

MOPS sessions – MOPS meets on alternate Friday mornings at 10.00am in our Fellowship Hall. A MOPS session for mums typically comprises of a craft, group discussion, tea/coffee and cake and a guest speaker or a MOPS International speaker on DVD. There is a small charge per mum.

MOPS Kids – While Mums go to MOPS, the babies and preschoolers are cared for in MOPS Kids (also known as MOPPETS). Under 2s play in our creche, while over 2s enjoy a Sunday school style morning – consisting of play, a Bible lesson, songs, snack and craft. Babes in arms can of course stay with their mums if you prefer.

MumsNext – All mums who have school-age children, preschoolers or babies are invited to MumsNext which meets monthly on an evening at 8.00pm, for a fun evening together at a leader’s home, to hear a guest speaker, do a small craft and have group discussion, with refreshments. Each December we have a Christmas dinner together at Duke Street Church.
