QUESTIONS ON COVID-19

I'm a paragraph. Click here to add your own text and edit me. It’s easy.

01/

What is being launched for youth in September 2020?

  • Youth Bubbles (YB) will be launched in September which are separate and consistent, which won’t overlap with one another.

  • A bubble is an assigned group of youth (11-18 years old), made up of a maximum of 15 young people and  leaders.

  • Those 3 leaders will only be part of one bubble.

  • Alan Neely, as youth worker, will be present to oversee every group bubble for support and safety. However, he is only part of only one bubble.

02/

Will I be in a ‘bubble’ with my friends?

  • On the registration form each young person can choose two people they want to be in a bubble with.  Groups will be assigned by taking these preferences into account.

03/

What will it look like for youth bubbles to meet?

  • Groups will enter and leave via car park door. This means there is more space for parents/guardians to wait.

  • A screening process is in place for youth and leaders as they enter the premises.

  • Social distancing (2m) will be required at all points during meetings. Though masks will not be required.

  • Youth will be required to wash or sanitise their hands at different points in the meeting.

  • No food will be served or shared during group meetings.

  • No contact games, drama, comedy or singing/shouting will take place.

  • Each game/activity will be risk assessed to comply with Covid-19 guidance.

  • The rooms (including toilets) used will be cleaned before and after the groups.

  • In the event one of the group members tests positive for Covid-19, parents will be informed.

04/

When will youth ‘bubbles’ meet?

  • Each bubble will meet twice a month at different times, either on a Friday or Saturday night.

05/

What measures are in place to ensure it is a safe and supportive environment for young people?

  • The meetings are be launched to support the spiritual and mental health of young people in our community.

  • Full risk assessments for physical and virtual meetings of youth will be in place. Specifically, in order to mitigate COVID-19 risks.

  • All youth leaders are DBS checked and adhere to a youth leader code of conduct.

06/

What happens if my young person is an ‘at risk’ young person to Covid-19?

  • Please fill this on the registration form. We will get in contact with you to make you aware of provisions we can make for your young person.
